If your a big guy you know how it feels to sit in an average “lawn chair” especially outdoors around people.You lower yourself gently hoping you don’t wind up on your butt staring at the sky as the gasps and muffled laughs inevitably crack open the silence. Well brother I have great news. Those days are O-V-E-R!The King Kong chair by ALPS lives up to its name. If ever there was a chair made that beast could sit down in this is it. The chair is constructed of thick heavy metal tubing you could probably run over with a car. Well ...you get the idea. I’m pushing 300 lbs and this chair doesn’t moan a single creek when I sit down. I’m positive it would easily handle substantially more too. The padded seat, back and arms feel very comfortable as well.The seat is so wide I can’t imagine a big guy not being comfortable in it.I sit up fine in it at 5’ 10” and the position of my back and legs are very acceptable to me. No mods required as others have posted. YMMVIt folds up very easily and goes right back into the carrying bag without issue. The only negative thing I can say is it’s pretty heavy (just a tad shy of 15 lbs.) Not a portable chair I’d care to throw over my shoulder and take a hike with.Other than that this is the chair you want if your tired of embarrassing yourself at outdoor events in lesser made lawn chairs. Certainly won’t happen in the King Kong chair.You’ll be king of the jungle in this bad boy.😊
